Your Focus Becomes Your Reality -Living Healthy Emotionally

Have you done a reality check lately on the current condition of your life? Are you blessed and happy, or depressed, hopeless and in despair? To be blessed means to be happy, to be fortunate, or to be envied. Some may equate being blessed or happy to having achieved great material possessions or luxuries. While those things can enhance one’s life, it is not what defines a blessed life.

There are those who have all the material possessions one could dream of, but they have miserable and unhappy lives. You may even know of such individuals among your circle of friends or acquaintance; if not, just turn on to some of the media stations that often feature the Rich and Famous, I mean the Rich and Miserable. I am not saying that all rich people are miserable and unhappy. I'm simply making a point that having material things does not define being blessed.

I have not always been a positive person. I remember a time in my life when I used to focus on depressive thoughts. The longer I meditated on things that I was not happy with about my life, the more depressed I got. I developed a habit of stinking thinking and negativity that created a negative force around me. If I wanted my reality to change and to live a life of true blessing, it was time that I changed my focus; hence, the journey began.

Thoughts are like seeds and seeds grow. Whatever you sow, you will reap. It is also true that for every cause, there is an effect. To every action, there is a reaction. These are universal laws or principles that are set in motion and impacts all people, regardless of race, gender, culture, economic status, or religious faith. The law of negativity is as universal as these laws. If you sow negative thoughts everyday and speak pessimistically over your situation, you will experience negative outcomes on a consistent basis.

What you choose to focus on will become your reality. The definition of focus is: a central point, as of attraction, the core, the heart. If you are not happy with your current reality, it is time to refocus. Life constantly throws choices at you every day. Whatever choices you make are seeds that will shape your future.

Consider Viktor Frankl, a Holocaust survivor, one cannot imagine what he had to endure; but he has lived to tell how he was able to survive the inhumane treatment in concentration camps. His focus and his attitude allowed him to endure the darkest moments of his life. Mr. Frankl quotes, "The last of human freedoms - the ability to choose one's attitude in a given set of circumstances." Regardless of what you are going through or have gone through, you have the freedom to choose your attitude. Your attitude will determine your altitude in life.

We have all heard how worry will kill you and what you think is what you will become. Your thoughts, your focus, and your attitude have the power to create your surroundings and change your situation whether for good or bad. In 1 Peter 4:7, it says that you must be the boss over your own mind.

As you go through each day, remember, "For as a man thinks within himself, so he become.” What would you like to become in 2009 and beyond? Change your focus, because whatever you choose to focus on will become your reality.

Can Chocolate Really Be Healthy?

With Valentine’s Day just a few weeks away, retailers and specialty chocolate shops are stocking up and featuring some of the most inviting chocolate gifts and displays. Sales in chocolate already exceeded $1 billion dollars, but in 2006 chocolate revenue increased to over $740 million because of the discovered health benefits. According to Business Newsweek, sales were expected to also increase even more so.

Did you know that chocolate can be healthy and beneficial for your health? Most of us will reach for milk chocolate; unfortunately, that is not the healthier option. Dark chocolate has been the rave in the health industry as well as in the media within the past few years.

Dark chocolate has cocoa that is full of antioxidants that comes from Flavonoids. Antioxidants is what protect your skin from free radical damage due to pollutants, sun exposure, and causes premature aging and it also works from the inside out. Flavonoids do wonders and help to calm blood pressure, hence the benefits that comes from dark chocolate outweighs milk or white chocolate.

Here are some amazing benefits of Dark Chocolate:

• Lowers blood pressure for those who have high blood pressure (1 small bark daily)
• Reduces Bad Cholesterol by up to 10%
• Has Endorphins (feelings of pleasure, joy, contentment)
• Stabilizes hormones (this must be why women crave that piece of chocolate and feel much better after having one)
• Includes Serotonin (anti-depressant)

The buzz has been out on dark chocolate. You can have a little guilt-free indulgence while staying healthy and happy!

Milk: Does It Really do the Body Good?

Have you noticed that just about every magazine publication in America reserves an entire page featuring celebrities donning a white mustache portraying the infamous ad that proclaims, “Milk does the body good?" Contrary to what the star-studded ads declare, my suspicion of milk related health issues led me to question, “Does milk really do the body good?”

My curiosity on this subject eventually became a research paper for a college course. Studies confirmed that milk is in fact related to several health issues ranging from allergies, digestive disorders, and ear infections in children to the most extreme health concern-cancer. For this particular research paper, I focused my research on the link between milk and cancer. A recent study from the Medical School at Harvard showed that a growth producing hormone called IGF-1 has been shown to increase normal and cancerous cells in the breast and colon. Cows that receive shots of the growth hormone rBGH, also known as rBST (recombinant bovine growth hormone), are shown to have high levels of the IGF-1 in the milk.

Dr. Samuel Epstein, a scientist reveals in his article in the International Journal of Health Sciences the dangers of IGF-1 hormones in the milk from cows given synthetic bovine growth hormone. He claims that IGF-1 used in milk production of cows could be a possible cause for breast and gastrointestinal cancers. Experimentation in rats has proved this to be a fact, and moreover, the hormone has been shown to speed up the production of the breast cancer cells. This alone should stir up concerns in women young and old. Milk has been a household staple for decades, and to be challenged health-wise is mind boggling to many.

What is interesting is that other countries such as Australia, New Zealand, and Japan have prohibited the use of this hormone while the United States continues to sell milk and dairy products with questionable health risks to the public. The FDA tried to prevent the labeling on the milk treated with rBGH, thus keeping the public from making decisions based on what is best for them. You can now find dairy and milk products without hormones. It will usually have a seal on the carton that says, “Milk from cows not treated with rBST.” Until recently, organic milk was only carried primarily in health food stores; however, we are now seeing an increase number of mainstream supermarkets starting to offer the organic option.

Even though the FDA may give their seal of approval on something that is safe for our consumption, we have the right to request accurate labeling on anything that could potentially be life threatening.

According to these studies, there should be enough of a concern for those who consume conventional milk, to perhaps consider an alternative. Organic milk does not contain these hormones. What is the difference between regular and organic milk? Organic milk is from cows that are not treated with any hormones or antibiotics. They are grass-fed, and graze in the field. Organic milk sales have increased about 20 percent a year for the last decade, driven primarily by consumer demand for hormone-free milk. Sales will continue to increase as more and more consumers are made aware of the potential health risks.

We often hear the phrase, “You are what you eat;” however, having read these findings and others alike, it might be more appropriate to rephrase it--“You are what the animal eats!” Organic milk costs a little bit more. Perhaps having this knowledge, you might want to pay the farmer a little more now than the doctor a whole lot more later!

Anti-Aging Beauty Secret 101 & More

Water is the foundation of Anti-Aging Secrets. Water will help to smooth your skin and reduce wrinkles. Lack of water will cause your skin to sag and look dry and wrinkled. Before considering starting an anti-aging regime, we should be pro active and get a jumpstart in this area by hydrating ourselves with plenty of water instead of waiting to take action after the wrinkles and lines appear. Water is the foundation for the fountain of youth that works from the inside out.

One of the first questions that I was asked on my Diva Talk Radio interview this week was, “What are some things that women need to do right away that will help them to live healthier and happier…is there anything that should be considered more seriously, but is overlooked?” My response was not rocket science. It’s the simplest thing that women (and men) can do immediately that will jumpstart their health journey; drink more water! As I shared on the radio show, most people do not realize that they are dehydrated from day to day. Being dehydrated causes dry skin that looks aged and robs your energy along with many other health issues.

For most people, the last beverage before bed is often times soda, maybe even coffee, tea or even wine. When morning comes around, the first beverage is usually coffee or juice of some sort, and off we go for the day. When lunch rolls around, what do we usually drink? It’s probably more soda or some sort of caffeinated beverage. This is a cycle that I have seen in my own life and witnessed in those around me, and it’s probably pretty typical for some of you.
People may be able to survive for a few weeks without food; however, people cannot survive without water after five days on average for adults. Drinking water throughout the day will flush out germs and toxins from your system.

Your body is made up of approximately 75% water. A lack of water comes with a host of health related issues that can be prevented or reduced the more water consumed. The book Seven Pillars of Health by Dr. Don Colbert lists several amazing benefits of drinking more water; here is just are few:

• Regulates body temperature
• Cushions joints (major lubricant in joint spaces)
• Prevents arthritis and back pain
• Prevents clogging of arteries in heart reducing the risk of heart attacks and stroke
• Helps immune system function

These benefits will not come as a result of just a few sips a day. It is recommended that you drink at least half of your body weight in ounces--meaning take your weight and divide that by two (e.g. 140/2 = 70; which is 70 oz.). That is the amount of water that you need on a daily basis for optimal health.

If you haven’t been getting enough water, begin today by implementing this basic anti-aging secret 101 to reduce signs of aging, experience the incredible health benefits, and start living healthier and happier in 2009 and beyond!

Detox: What To Expect While On a Cleanse

Here we go...are you ready for the 10 day Perfect Cleanse? Remember, organic fruits and vegetables, free range meat, or wild fish are best during the cleanse so that you do not introduce toxins back into your body while you are detoxing. I recommend this year-round, but specially during this time. I have posted a few of my recipes that are beneficial while you are on the cleanse.

One of the first questions people ask me when the topic of "cleanse" comes up is, "Am I going to be stuck in the bathroom all day?" The answer is, "No!" With the Perfect Cleanse, you will not have to look for the nearest restroom everywhere you go...and yes you can leave your house! I thought I would get that question out of the way--wheew!

Have you done some spring cleaning in your home and experienced some reaction from all the dust flying around? Have you heard of the saying, "sometimes things may get worse before they get better?" Well, if you are experiencing a little symptom from the cleanse, stick with it. You will feel a whole lot better when you are finished.

Similar to dust settling after a period of time, toxins have settled in your body over a period of time, and now it's being ruffled or unsettled and you may experience certain symptoms. Some symptoms may include: headache, fatigue, and for some people they may feel like they have a cold. This shouldn't scare you from detoxing. Sometimes the fear of the unknown keeps people from actually following through with the cleanse that they were desiring to do.

Now can you imagine if you went into an area that hasn't been dusted or swept in years? Imagine the dust that has been collected. Imagine the burden that our body is experiencing from years of accumulated toxins. As I mentioned in previous posts, over 60 different types of health issues are related to having an unhealthy digestive tract.
Detox: What To Expect While on a CleanseSome people may feel like a brand new person after doing a cleanse. That was my experience when I detoxed for the first time. You can read my testimony in Jordan Rubin's book Perfect Weight America.

Some people may feel like a brand new person after doing a cleanse. That was my experience when I detoxed for the first time. You can read my testimony in Jordan Rubin's book Perfect Weight America.

For some, you may experience weight loss, more energy, and just overall health improvement. What a great way to start off the new year and take care of you! You have the power to make the right choices that will enhance your quality of life. Knowledge is power, and with knowledge comes action! Ready...set...go!

Detox & Cleanse Food Recommendations

Several people are gearing up to start the Ten Day Perfect Cleanse on Monday, January 12th with me, from Twitter as well as other Social Networks, friends, and family.

Perhaps you landed on this page and want to know more about the Perfect Cleanse, please feel free to visit my post Detox: Ten Day Perfect Cleanse.

I have posted a few of my recipes and food recommendations for while you are on the Perfect Cleanse. You have to choose your food selections carefully while doing any cleanse. Please keep in mind that you will want to make sure that you are getting the recommended amount of fiber (25-30 grams for women) and drinking plenty of water (a little more than half of your body weight). Normally you should be drinking half of your body weight in ounces; however, during a cleanse it's best to increase the amount of water an additional 10-15 ounces. I suggest listening to the 10 minute CD that came with the cleanse kit and read the short pamphlet.

If you weigh 150 lbs., you will want to drink at least 60 oz. of water. Water and fiber helps to move toxins of out of your body. The more water you drink, the more you will use the restroom, which will remove more toxins. Fiber helps to trap toxins in your colon and prepares it for removal.

The recipes below are some that I use while doing the cleanse; however, it’s not limited to this list. Please feel free to improvise and include your own options. When you are cleansing it’s best to use organic fruits and vegetables and free range meat without being treated with hormones or antibiotics. The idea is to remove toxins, hence you do not want to eat foods that have pesticides and chemicals on them.

Breakfast: Steel Cut oatmeal or Oatmeal with Flaxseed, Fruit (blueberries, grapefruit, grapes, apples, oranges)
Omega-3 Eggs scrambled accompanied with a whole grain, ei; with Ezekiel bread toasted (or any Sprouted or 100% whole grain bread, muffins, bagel, etc.)
Homemade breakfast parfait: see snack below (great for breakfast or mid day snack)

Snacks: Parfaits with granola, fruit, nuts, trial mix, and yogurt or kefir (both contain beneficial probiotics which supports gut health)

(I sometimes prefer to fast for breakfast during cleanse, to keep my organs a break).

Soup: Lunch or Dinner
Cabbage has many amazing health effects that are beneficial for not only promoting regularity, it is also loaded with rich in Nutrients. I recommend that you make enough Chicken Cabbage Soup to last for a few days. I often have this soup as a meal a couple of times a day. You can learn more about the benefits of cabbage by going to the link:

About Cabbage
Chicken Cabbage Soup: (may add additional vegetables: ei: cauliflower, green beans-vegetables that have fiber)

2 Cartons or 8 cups of Organic Free Range Chicken Broth
1-2 organic chicken breasts cut in small pieces
1 head of Green Cabbage cut into squares (1”)
½ onion chopped
2-3 cloves of garlic (3 small or 2 large)
Dash of cayenne pepper (depending on your hot spice tolerance)
2 tbsp Extra virgin Coconut oil (optional)
Dash of Pepper to taste

Directions: Place chicken breast in with the chicken broth, garlic, pepper, pepper and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer approx 10-15 minutes or until chicken is cooked and no longer pink in middle. Remove scum from top if any. Add cabbage, onions, extra virgin coconut oil. Let it simmer on low for 7-10 minutes (or until cabbage is desired texture). While vegetables simmer, shred or cut up chicken breasts. Put chicken pieces back into the soup and let it simmer additional 5 minutes. Add a pinch of Celtic Sea Salt if needed to taste.
If you would like to attempt to try Jordan Rubin’s Chicken Cleansing Soup, from his book: Perfect Weight America, please click here

Salad: Lunch or Dinner
You can have a salad at lunch and at dinner. Just make sure that you are getting a lot of fiber during the cleansing. Fiber is important during the cleansing process. If I have a salad in the evening, I like to accompany it with a piece of fish right on the salad or on the side.

Mixed Greens or Romaine, use any variety of vegetables: red, yellow, orange peppers, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, celery, red onions, alfa-alfa sprouts, ½ size avocado sliced. (Can add a wild caught fish to salad for protein at dinner) (Salmon, Mahi-Mahi, Snapper, Tuna, Mackerel)

Home made Salad Dressing: (make enough for a couple of days)
1/3 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
4 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Herbs (oregano or a blend of Italian herbs)
Dash of ground pepper
Celtic Sea Salt
*You can add low sodium soy sauce if you desire)
Mix all ingredients and use shaker to shake well or just make sure to stir real well.

Cabbage Chicken Soup (my mother's recipe)

1 whole green cabbage
1 chicken breast
1 bunch of cilantro
4 stalks of green onions
1 to 1 1/2 whole lime

Boil chicken breast let cool and then shred or cut in small thin slices
Cut cabbage in quarters and finely cut each quarter
Cut up cilantro & onions finely
1/4 tsp of Celtic sea salt
dash of pepper
dash of soy sauce to taste

Directions:
In a large bowl, combine cabbage, chicken, cilantro, onions, salt and pepper, soy sauce. Squeeze lime juice over the salad mix and toss really well before serving.

Dinner

Baked Wild Fish (Mahi-Mahi, Snapper, Salmon)

Marinade Recipe for Fish: (for 4 pieces)
4 tbsp Coconut oil (melted)
1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 tbsp Fish Sauce (Anchovy sauce from Asian store, Woodman's, World Market)
1 tsp of Chili red crushed pepper (only for those who like spicy food)
This marinade is also delicious on chicken.

Stir well and pour over fish, let marinade 5-10 minutes. Bake at 375F for 25-30 minutes (depending on thickness of fish). Increase ingredients for additional pieces of fish. Serve with brown rice, salad, green beans or any green type vegetable.

What you should not consume during cleansing:

*Caffeine (coffee, tea, soda)
Some people feel like they can not give up the coffee-I would then reduce the amount and buy organic coffee beans or grounds.
*Alcohol
*sweets (sugar, cookies)

Again, refer to your cleanse kit for more.

I hope you enjoy the recipes and wish you a successful detoxing experience! You are on your way to being healthier! Please leave a comment and let me know how you are doing and if you have tried any of the recipes.

Women & Friendship are Helping Each Other Live Healthier

There are just some real simple secrets to living healthier, happier, and longer, and one of them is friendship. I was browsing through the April 2008 issue of Glamour magazine that featured an article entitled Friendship, and shared that a recent study revealed that Americans have 1/3 less friends today than they did twenty years ago. Can that be true with all the technology that is helping us to connect with one another and find old friends from high school or college on social media sites like MySpace, Facebook, and other popular social networks? I never would have thought that.
Women and Friendship Duong Sheahan

I read some amazing statistics on a Landmark UCLA research on Women and Friendship.

By the way, I love how the original Webster's 1828 dictionary defines friendship: "one who has sufficient interest to serve another; genuine, pure real, not counterfeit, adulterated or false. True friendship is a noble and virtuous attachment, springing from a pure source, a respect for worth or amiable qualities."

Some ways Women & Friendship Help One Another:

1. Live healthier and better.
2. Decrease stomach-quivering stress.
3. Release “Oxytocin” hormone (bonding, loving hormone).
4. Lower blood pressure, heart rate, and cholesterol.
5. Reduce risks of injury as women age.
6. Cut risk of death by 60% just by having a great number of friends over a 9 year span.

Note: This study is so incredible and found that not having close friends was as damaging to your health as being a smoker or overweight!

I have made it one of my goals this new year to reach out to a few of my friends who I have lost touch with due to our lives being busy. I do have some amazing women in my life that I regularly get together with, and I am so blessed and thankful to have them in my life!

Let’s help each other live healthier and longer! Reconnect with your girlfriends this year.

"Life's truest happiness is found in friendships we make along the way." ~Unknown

This blog has several features that are not on my other website at Beauty Secrets Spirit Soul & Body (also soon to have a make-over).

1. Health Coach: I will be offering Health Coaching Services either Individually or in a group setting via telephone (1-1) or tele-seminar (group) Details and rates to come on Health Coach page.

2. Reviews: Several people have asked me over the years about certain products that I use, or that I can recommend; ranging from vitamins to skin care, food, or even household products. I will be writing ‘reviews’ of products that I have used and am passionate about promoting. I will only write positive reviews. If there is a product I do not recommend, I will not blog about it. The products that I am reviewing will be health related: natural, organic, earth friendly, green, or a consumer product that has benefited my family that I believe would help others.

3. Healthy Shopping: An online shopping portal with almost one hundred retailers offering health products. Instead of listing all the wonderful online stores, please take a moment and browse the site. If you used the scroll down button, all health products are in "Green".

4. Vlogs: Like Blogs but instead of writing you are videoing. One of my other goals is to create vlogs whether it’s a cooking tip or a tutorial. No need for a camera crew, TV studio, or expensive equipment to Vlog. I may even write a review about the little gadget that I use to Vlog.

5. Featured: Posts of any of my blogs, articles, as well as guest post, radio shows, etc. (Radio Show coming soon).

6. RSS button: What is RSS? A couple of people just asked me this. Not too long ago I had to ask the same question. Simply put: If you like what you read, click on the RSS button, submit your email address and when a blog or website updates their posts, it will automatically be delivered to your inbox. I like to get mine delivered to my google reader. I won’t attempt to explain that. Google it-lol!

About Me

Duong Sheahan
Welcome to Healthy Beauty Secrets with Duong!

There is one thing that I want you to know about me; I do not like the word diet. This is not another “diet” blog. If you remove the “t” from diet, you get die. Maybe there is a message there. Some people are literally killing themselves trying one fad diet after another and never achieving results.

I was browsing through a health magazine recently and came across an article from an author and friend, Mike Yorkey, and loved what he said about fad diets, “These fad diets should come with the following health advisory: Don’t do this at home.” I absolutely concur! Did you know that diet really means a “way of living?”

Having changed my “way of living” several years ago and seeing my family healthier, experience less colds, and free from other serious health issues over the years, it has become my passion to help people live healthier and happier from the inside out. My focus is not only on the physical health, but also the spiritual and emotional health, which is where it often begins.

I am not extreme about defining or translating long lists of ingredients on the label of my skin care products; however, there are a few that I do watch for that have made my warning list. If the majority of the ingredients are long and each one has more than 25 letters that I cannot pronounce, it just can’t be that healthy! I enjoy a sweet treat occasionally and won't let a yummy piece of chocolate or brownies pass me by (Let's be real!).

I believe in the 90/10 percent rule. Eat or use healthy products 90% of the time so that there is room for treats and for times when you are not able to use or purchase natural and organic products. Otherwise, we would all have to live on a farm, raise our own free-range animals, grow our own fruits and vegetables like our ancestors, and we might as well live in a bubble.

I do recommend organic and all natural health products whenever possible. Nevertheless, do the best you can with what you can and with the resources that are available to you. You have heard the saying, "an inch of prevention is a mile of cure." My passion is empowering people to live healthier and happier from the inside out in a real, practical way!

Detox: Ten Day Perfect Cleanse

One way to live healthier is to cleanse your colon from harmful toxins that have built up in your system. Did you know that over 60 different health related illness is a result of a toxic or unhealthy digestive tract?

We all have a destiny to fulfill and too many people are suffering illnesses that are robbing them of fulfilling their calling in life. There are simple things that we can do to improve the quality of our health as well as be proactive in preventative care.

Toxins enter our body through the air we breathe, the food we eat, and the water that we drink. Please read The Role of Toxins for additional information.

On January 12th, we will be starting the Perfect Cleanse, by Garden of Life. I have tweeted this on twitter and several responded with an interest in joining me as well as others who are not on Twitter. Feel free to join us in the ten day perfect cleanse and reset your body for optimal health. I believe beauty comes from the inside-out, not just spiritually and emotionally, but physically as well. We have all heard, "You are what you eat". What we eat, shows up outwardly in various ways. (I will share more at a later time).
The Perfect Cleanse consists of three products that are taken around meal time and before bed: 30 minutes before dinner and 30 minutes after dinner, and right before bed. While you are sleeping your body is at work to detox. See how Perfect Cleanse works.

I believe as mothers and women who run the house, our family suffers when we suffer. When mama's not happy nobody's happy! Why not start out your New Year by achieving your best health and clean your system from toxins that have been accumulating.

I've started a hash tag on twitter #10dayperfectcleanse, so follow along!

Where to purchase Perfect Cleanse:

What Perfect Cleanse from Garden of Life Did For Me By: Duong Sheahan

"I'm a busy mom with three school aged children and a loving husband in the Chicago area. Last New Year's Eve following my sweet tooth marathon over the holidays, I knew it was time to clean house. Perhaps it was the sugar overload I felt in my system. At any rate, I began doing the Garden of Life Perfect Cleanse.

I had incredible results the first day. By the third day, I felt like a revived person because the toxic build up in my system was leaving my body. My energy level increased immensely as well as my mental alertness. Trust me I need to be alert and full of energy everyday.

I've recommended Perfect Cleanse to a few of my friends and they loved the results as well. The simple to use directions on the box are great: Just follow the 1-2-3 steps on each bottle and you can't mess up! I love that Perfect Cleanse is easy, safe, made with organic ingredients, and is whole food based. I also love the way it doesn't introduce extraneous toxins back into my system. I even lost my cravings for sweet things like chocolate and that's not easy!"

Blog Award: My Top Ten Social Network Connections

Sometimes, you just never know how your little messages of encouragement will touch others; people that you have only exchanged 140 characters with on Twitter (a social network) occasionally. I was pleasantly surprised by this blog award or recognition that I received by Annette of Musings.

The purpose of this blog award is to give it to someone who is showing gratitude or a good attitude for "if life hands you lemons, make lemonade" within their life or blog.

Although you may feel like no one is watching, listening, our reading what you have to say--wrong! There is always someone that you may impact, or perhaps you've been touched by. It's always nice to acknowledge those whom you have been touche by in the social network.

I have decided to give this recognition to a few of my social network connections. A few of these individuals came to my aid when I was a 'lost newbie' on Twitter and a few are my most recent connections.

These people really inspire me with their mission. They walk the social media talk. They have blessed me with their kind tweets, messages, and encouraging websites or blog.

I am aware of the fact that a few of them are going through or have gone through their own share of lemons handed to them and turned them into lemonade and "making in a difference in the lives of those around them."

I want to encourage you to learn more about each of these great people by visiting their link: (hint-follow them on twitter)

My Top Ten Twitter Social Network Influence currently are:

1. Noelle Mena: Founder of Take Root & Write Take Root & Write @takeroot

2. TwitterBo: Co-founder of DrEveryone.com @twitterbo
